New Zealand Northern League 2025
We were at Keith Hay Park for the away game of Auckland FC Reserves team against Auckland United under lights on a Friday night. Unfortunately Auckland FC Reserves didn’t get the result we wanted as we lost 5-2, BUT these young lads are learning to play together and getting to know each other while Auckland United has been around for a long time and are usually fighting for the National League title.

The Orc’s Random Thoughts
Something I noticed in this game is that the Auckland FC Reserves players kept passing back instead of forward a lot of the time compared to the main team. Remember lads, it’s ALWAYS ADVANCE!
Something else that was interesting is the two Spanish-speaking players talking to each other. In the video (Min 1:05) you will hear the Argentine Emiliano Tade say “Dale vos Marco” which loosely translates as “Go for it Marco” (Marco refers to teammate Marco Lorenz) in one of the attacks.
